Today I will SHINE my spotlight on…Healing the Self

Purity means ‘self-healing’. In order to heal yourself, learn to love yourself. Do not cause yourself sorrow. Do not criticize yourself. Do not cause yourself pain. Today, no matter what the causes of my distress are, I will forget them. If it is a question of forgiving others, don’t repeat the old hurt in your mind. The more you go over it, the more those events and words live in your mind. It’s like pouring salt on wounds, bringing yet more pain. Instead, with patience and pure intentions, fill yourself with love.

Forgive and Forget

Spotlight Values : March 30, 2011 12:34 pm : Purity

Today I will SHINE my spotlight on…

Purity
Purity means ‘forgiving’. When I am unable to forgive and forget someone, I also can’t work with that person and will keep on complaining and finding faults with the little things he does wrong. The other person might have lots of good aspects – and others even may try to point them out – but we protest by picking up on the things that he has done wrong. Today I will take time to go into silence and o learn to let go in such a way that I able to forget totally about the incident that happened in the past.

Purity means ‘Clarity’. Clarity means not just being beyond confusion, but also to have wisdom. Clarity means being able to understand lessons learned from the past, to use experiences from the past to correct my present and brighten my future. To gain clarity, my mind should be clean without any rubbish. Even the slightest waste thought is rubbish. Today I will not clutter my mind with the past or live in the future but use the present in a worthwhile way by clear and less thinking.

Go In
Purity means ‘curing’. Pay attention to yourself that the illnesses of the mind and the heart go away and you can maintain good health and keep the mind, heart, and body healthy. Today, if something even slightly impure and negative comes into my mind or any feeling enters my heart, I will deal with it immediately. Science has been able to create many inventions and finds many cures to illnesses, but they involve the support of other people. This cure means being able to heal the self with silence.

Today I will SHINE my spotlight on…

Go In
Purity means ‘turning inwards’. Everyday I take a few moments to go within. I enter my own space of silence. I will stop looking outside – stop seeing and listening to external things. I will learn not to look at, think about, or question what others are doing. I willl pay attention to this. I make a choice to leave behind such things that distrub me or cause pain. By turning inwards, my thoughts will be filled with silence and true expression of love that nothing negative or wasteful comes into my mind.

Enthusiasm
Purity means ‘enthusiasm’. Enthusiasm is a therapy that breaks the gravity of negativiy and shifts the type of ‘mind-stickiness’ that seems to trap people in a particular perspective or attitude. Today I will develop enthusiasm, believing in the goodness of life and in the goodness of others. I will believe that no matter what happens, no matter how sorrowful or incomprehensible something may appear to be, behind the dark curtain there lies a hidden lesson or an unforseen benefit.

Today I will SHINE my spotlight on…

Purity means
Purity means ‘self-respect’. Where there is purity there is honesty, and where there is honesty there is self-respect. If I am honest in my actions, then I have the strength to maintain self-respect. I can be stable in victory or defeat, appreciation or insult. Often, we don’t give ourselves enough time to create something of ourselves, and so we lack self-respect. Today I will be honest and pure in my actions which gives the power to stay in self-respect, uninfluenced and uneffected by external situations.

Living in the present

Spotlight Values : March 18, 2011 8:06 am : Purity

Today I will SHINE my spotlight on…

Purity means
Purity means ‘living in the present’. The most important thing is to pay attention to the present moment and make it positive, despite what has happened in the past. If I keep the past alive in the present by thinking, “That shouldn’t have happened” or “It would have been better that way,” then future won’t be good. Knowing that past cannot come back and present moment is in my hand, I will value, trust and make the best use of the present moment.

Humility

Today I will SHINE my spotlight on…

Purity means
‘Humility’. Humility, does not mean bowing your head down; it means maintaining stability. If I lack humility, I think I have to teach everyone. If I have humility, I want to learn. Check, when I teach what is my tone of voice like and when I learn what is my tone of voice like? This inner humility allows our inner divinity to emerge. Today, I will have humility in my thoughts, interactions and attitude which allows to have deep feelings, pure intentions, and the desire to learn
